Searching for Dawn was choreographed by Taylor Han in collaboration with the dancers of Scottish Ballet’s Creative Collective. Inspired by Danielle Tyrer’s choreography for the opening celebration of HAS, the dancers explored the themes and motifs of Danielle’s work and built upon it in a series of creative tasks, investigating their connections as a group, and moving with a shared sense of musicality. Using nature as inspiration and anchor, the Wee Retreat's mindfulness taster will cultivate embodied presence in the present moment. There will be opportunities to move, be in stillness, and explore the breath and senses. If the weather allows, we will practice outdoors in the beautiful Hidden Gardens, and if not, indoors. Discover the benefits of green spaces for mental and physical health and how simple techniques can easily be incorporated into daily life. Here, visitors to events can suggest random words for whiteboards and work with poets to use as many of them as possible to create five poems highlighting Healing Arts Scotland’s themes.
