Sangeeta will share insights from her extensive work through a series of interactive activities, games, movement, and meditation, focusing on the following themes below.
Sangeeta's work is deeply rooted in the traditional art forms and philosophies that she grew up with in India. These traditions offer numerous techniques and strategies to foster deep connections and lasting transformations in individuals and communities.
Understanding the importance of play, Sangeeta has developed a Pedagogy of Play. This approach uses games not just as energisers or ice-breakers but as powerful tools for deepening connections, self-awareness, empathy, and more. Sangeeta believes that play is one thing, but using it creatively to deepen understanding and help in finding solutions to societal problems is very powerful.
Working with challenging themes and at-risk communities often exposes us to discrimination, injustice, inequality, and apathy. Sangeeta will discuss methods to handle our reactions and pain and support others in these environments.
Sangeeta will discuss how integrating love, equanimity, and compassion can transform our approach to our work.
