Clowndoctor duos receive referrals from clinical staff and visit children and young people who may be feeling powerless, anxious, isolated or bored. Together with them, the Clowndoctors co-create an encounter which can be as delicate as a lullaby composed with a baby’s gurgles, as chaotic as a slapstick battle with hospital furniture, or as dramatic as a soap opera, complete with cliffhanger. Clowndoctor visits offer authentic connection and imaginative engagement, responding to how the child or young person is feeling at that moment. Anything is possible when there’s a Clowndoctor in the room.
